ProfilePicATamblynWattsGreetings. I am a Londoner by birth and moved to Cape Town, South Africa as an eleven-year-old in 1970. It was there that I married Lyn in December 1987. We raised two daughters, Bonita (aka Bonnie) and Danielle (aka Dani). Both have given us grandsons: Seth and Danté respectively.

After dropping out of High School, I finally completed my matriculation with university exemption at the age of twenty-seven. I then went on to study for a certificate in Freelance Journalism followed, inter alia, by a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology with Honours, Master’s Degree in Theology and finally (so far) a Post Graduate Certificate in Theological Education.

I surrendered to Jesus Christ in April 1978 after living a somewhat chaotic existence in my teens. It was my privilege to ‘cut my theological teeth’ under the ministry of the late Pastor Eric Wilson who imparted to me a love of study. He introduced me to Pastor Neill Jakins who continues to be my ‘spiritual father’, mentor and oversight to this day. I had the privilege of living with him and his wife, Jenny (aka ‘Mom’), for six months in the early eighties. Neill raised me in the ministry through a demanding form of discipleship for which I am now most grateful

Lyn and I share a passion to see God’s people grow through a deepening of their relationship with God through Jesus Christ and their understanding of the scriptures. To that end, it has been our privilege to minister in the U.K., U.S.A., Malawi, Ghana, South Africa and the Czech Republic.

I occupy the biblical office (Ephesians 4:11-16) of teacher, with a prophetic flavour and fulfil two academic roles of tutor with the South African Theological Seminary and academic co-ordinator at Charis Communications (a charity facilitating the ministry of Dr. Hugh Osgood – President of the Free Churches Movement, et al). Lyn, apart from carrying a strong prophetic anointing, is a very effective listener and counsellor. In addition to running our home, Lyn supports me as an administrator, editor and motivator.

We are both committed Liverpool fans. Lyn is keen on shopping, travel, reading and home life. I am a committed motorcyclist, student of all things C.S. Lewis, a keen reader of fiction and non-fiction and a watcher of television political and crime dramas when time permits. We both enjoy local and international travel. Among my gastronomic likes are Indian, Mexican and Italian foods, while Lyn will always opt for an English roast dinner.
