RevistacollagesmRe:Vista is a charity supporting coffee shop based at Emmanuel Christian Centre

There’s more at the heart of Re:Vista in Ulverston than our special selection of blended coffees. In fact, even our foamed cappuccinos, as great as they taste, are not at our heart's core. We brew a range of fine teas which can accompany a freshly baked panini or a cake from our in-house assortment, but the heart of Re:Vista goes beyond our quality food and beverages.

The heart of Re:Vista is towards the coffee farmers in Uganda who now get a fairtrade deal for what they produce. Re:Vista's heart also reaches the tea labourers in Malawi who can provide for their families and whose communities are being strengthened through sustainable projects. Re:Vista’s heart is also moved in other ways, such as directing our proceeds to child sponsorship and education, or to providing safe drinking water and fighting poverty, at home and abroad… the real heart of Re:Vista is faith, hope and charity; love in action!

The Re:Vista name is based on the Italian words; Re meaning 'King' and vista meaning 'view' or 'vision'. With proceeds going to charitable purposes including the sponsoring of children, orphanages, food programmes and help for those in poverty, we see that Re:Vista is pursuing our King's vision to consider the poor.

In the Bible, Isaiah 1:17 says to "seek justice, defend the oppressed, take up the cause of the orphans, plead the case of the widow" and James 1:27 tells us that pure religion includes "to care for the orphans and the widows".

Re:Vista is led by Paul and Karen Sedgwick and served by a team of volunteers.
