trainslideministryIn cooperation with our affiliates, the Ministry Training Initiative (MTI) is aimed at equipping the saints to step out and function in their God given ministries. Particularly those called to public or vocational ministry.

The training is based on the personal study of God and the practical application of God's Word in a candidates daily life. Instead of a purely academic curriculum the MTI places emphasis on entering 'God's school' and learning to consistently trust in Him. The concept can be likened to the secular method of vocational studies where a trainee doesn't only acquire knowledge but also the practical skills to function in their role. From a Biblical perspective we recognise that Jesus didn't just call those with a scholarly interest in Christianity. Yes, He called those who were masters in theology like Paul and Nicodemus but He also called fisherman and tax collectors like Matthew and Simon-Peter. If the same is true today we want to be flexible in our approach to give Christians of all backgrounds the opportunity to pursue their callings.

The programme comprises various elements of an ordination and accreditation process in conjunction with Servants of the Lord Ministries and Churches in Communities International. Due to the diversity of the callings of God, some training elements are bespoke. The MTI has 3 target levels which are optional depending on a candidates motivation, calling and progress. The MTI target levels range from simply attending short courses for personal growth to full ministerial status within the Free Churches Group. We also run various courses from partner organisations such as those focussed on youth work or chaplaincy. We are also able to draw on our extensive network of ministry associates to assist trainees in finding the right training based on their specific calling.
